Trump and Xi Strike Major Trade Deals in Beijing

US President Donald Trump struck major trade deals today. He met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. The two leaders held highly productive talks regarding global commerce.

Securing Massive Aviation Orders

Trump claimed Xi agreed to purchase 200 Boeing jets. This massive aviation order promises to create many American jobs. However, Boeing shares actually fell four percent today. Investors clearly expected a much larger order from China.

Selling American Oil to China

The leaders also discussed new energy agreements. Trump suggested China will buy crude oil directly from the United States. Chinese ships will soon travel to Texas and Louisiana.

China previously bought most of its oil from Iran. The ongoing Middle East war changed these global supply chains completely.

Dining at Zhongnanhai

Trump and Xi met inside the highly secure Zhongnanhai compound. They walked through beautiful gardens and shared a formal lunch. The White House released the lavish menu today. The leaders ate stir-fried lobster balls and kung pao chicken.

Trump invited Xi to visit the White House this September. The American president praised the incredible Chinese hospitality.
