THE Emir His Highness Sheik Tamim bin Hamad al Thani issued on Monday Law No 17 of 2017, revising a few provisions of the telecommunication law declared by Decree Law No 34 of 2006.
HH the Emir additionally affirmed the Council of Ministers' decision No 40 of 2017, building up the National Anti-Drug Committee.
Moreover, HH the Emir issued an instrument of confirmation approving a draft memorandum of understanding for collaboration in tourism between the governments of Qatar and Oman, marked in Doha on October 7, 2015.
Also, HH the Emir issued an instrument of confirmation approving a draft of air services understanding between the legislatures of Qatar and Australia, which was marked in Doha on November 17, 2016.
HH the Emir issued another instrument of sanction approving a memorandum of understanding on the advancement of cooperation in energy field between the governments of Qatar and Turkmenistan marked in Doha on March 15, 2017.
HH the Emir additionally issued an instrument of ratification approving the confirmation of a protocol on the amendment of Article (50/an) of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago 1944), marked in Montreal on October 6, 2016.
HH the Emir issued Decree No 70 of 2017, approving a collaboration protocol in journalism and media between the legislatures of Qatar and Turkey, which was signed in Doha on December 2, 2015. The declarations will have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
The decrees are compelling from their date of issue and are to be distributed in the official gazette.
