Marian is loved by a lot of Filipinos by leading memorable TV shows of before; notable examples of these are Darna and Dyesebel. Both shows are telefantasyas from GMA – and both received overwhelming ratings, huge followings, and positive reviews from the critics. Darna for example opened with rave reviews, and as what writer Nestor Torre of Philippine Daily Inquirer described the pilot episode, its “loud and livid”.
