It may not be a buzzcut or even a lob, but Angelina Jolie has had an (albeit subtle) hair cut.

Coco Chanel famously said 'A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life', and often celebrities follow a break up with an image overhaul (Katie Perry had her shoulder length hair significantly cropped following her split from Orlando Bloom, though Alexa Chung is firmly against the idea, telling Stylist 'you'll still feel sad – and you'll have weird hair').

Angelina Jolie's trim is a freshening up rather than a total overhaul. She showed off her crop while promoting her latest project, a harrowing film titled 'First They Killed My Father', which tells the story of the Cambodian genocide of the 1970s.

The film, incidentally, has been thus far met with rave reviews, and is available to stream on Netflix. Jolie talked about her relationship with Brad Pitt in September's issue of Vanity Fair, revealing 'It's just been the hardest time, and we're just kind of coming up for air'. They announced their split in 2016 and the divorce hasn't yet been finalised - the latest speculation is that Angelina is 'furious' about Pitt's recent friendly reunion with ex Jennfer Aniston (according to inTouch).
