Hidden Camera Found In Woman’s Shower In Travelodge Hotel Room

Second only to the fear that your trip into a hotel shower could end like the infamous scene from ‘Psycho’, spotting a hidden camera spying on you is definitely one of the most horrifying moments any guest could suffer.

Sadly for one woman the nightmare became a reality when she spotted the concealed recording equipment within a vent, and aimed directly at her naked body.

Harmony Hachey discovered the device whilst staying at the Oxford Wheatley Travelodge and reported it to hotel bosses before Thames Valley Police were called in.

The camera was removed and police believe that despite being connected to a USB the unit was inoperative.

The 23-year-old was on a work trip and had travelled down from Edinburgh with colleagues when the incident occurred last Friday.

Following the startling discovery the young woman from Edinburgh said: “I broke down at one point. I just felt so violated.”

Hardly surprising, but at least the hotel in question had some words of comfort for the victim as Hachey recalls from a call with senior hotel management: “She told me to calm down and there was no footage on there.”

Think they may have missed the point a tad there.

It’s believed the Camera was installed via a maintenance unit behind the shower but investigations are ongoing.

Travelodge issued Hachey a full refund before graciously allowing her to switch rooms. That should boost the Trip Advisor review!
