Mahira Khan and her viral photos with Ranbir Kapoor made headlines a few days back. The images went viral and haters trolled this Pakistani actor for wearing a ‘short’ dress and also for smoking despite being a ‘woman’. There were also questions like what is cooking between Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan. On Tuesday, Mahira Khan finally broke her silence on her photo controversy, stating that it was her personal matter.
At the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Verna’, Mahira Khan was questioned about the viral photos. Speaking to local TV channel ‘SAMAA TV’, Mahira said that there is nothing to comment but further added that it was a personal thing and she has learned from it.
“I am a very careful person otherwise. People ask me that I do not do this in films (probably she meant smoking), I say I do not want to. Why should I do anything to show the world?” said Mahira.
The actor further added that her meeting Ranbir was a completely personal thing. She said, “It is my personal life and it is very normal for a boy and girl to hang out.” She again added that this one incident has taught her a lot. Mahira also stated, “Nowadays, media is not only present at events but everywhere. So, I have learnt from it (the incident).”

While a lot was said and written about Raees actor Mahira Khan and her choice of clothing while she was seen smoking a cigarette with Ranbir Kapoor in New York City, celebrities from both the Indian and the Pakistani entertainment industry came out to support the actor. Ranbir Kapoor too lend his support to Mahira.
In an official statement, Jagga Jasoos actor Ranbir Kapoor had said, “I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives.”
