Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may not be married yet but she’s already had a positive impact on the young royal’s life.

Not only has the new people’s princess (even if she won’t be a princess) tamed the red-headed royal, putting his Vegas partying days behind him, she’s also got him to stop smoking.

The prince used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, but Meghan who’s into clean living won’t stand for that and has forced him to kick the habit.

A friend of the couple told the Daily Mail:

Harry has promised no smoking at all at home. It’s not nice for Meghan as a non-smoker. So there’s no more hanging out of the window for a quick puff. Harry has quit for Meghan.

Harry’s not the only royal to kick the habit. His step-mum Camilla apparently liked the occasional puff on a ciggie but Charles wasn’t a fan.

She visited an alternative health practitioner who managed to cure her addiction ensuring that no one’s going to be slipping away from the royal wedding for a sly drag.

Packing in the cigs is the least Harry can do for Meghan, she’s given up an awful lot more including her acting career and her home.

Meghan confirmed she was moving to the UK earlier this month after growing tired of the commute between Canada and the UK every two weeks.

She’s also shut down her lifestyle blog, The Tig, Instagram and is allegedly about to change her citizenship from Canadian to British.

It seems that Meghan and the Queen both share a dislike for cigarettes as smoking is banned in the royal palaces including Nottingham Cottage, Kensington Palace where the newlyweds will live.

Of course, Harry being Harry, he's been known to bend the rules every now and again...
