Before the confirmation it was reported that the group - which also includes Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Mel B - could sign some new acts themselves as part of their big comeback.
The Sun reports that Mel's suggestion 'went down very well because they are all excited about backing up-and-coming talent, possibly even new girl bands'.
A source told the publication: 'This reunion is all about securing the Spice Girls legacy, and their own company could be one way to do that.'
The source also revealed that since Friday, the reunion has developed from what was thought to just be a project concerning 'endorsements and TV shows' into the possibility of performing on stage together again.
'After the meeting there is growing confidence about a full-scale tour, at the end of this year or early next year,' the source went on. 'Mel C still needs to be convinced but Victoria is on board for the moment.
