As a part of Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019, Katara Studio is hosting a musical event of world-famous artist A R Rahman at Khalifa International Stadium partnered up with a Qatari Composer Dana Alfardan on 22nd March 2019.
The event “Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019” will be held at the Opera House at Katara. It is scheduled on 4th February at Opera Theater Katara by holding a cultural program with special VIP performance.
The programs include dance and music performances. The first music program will be fusion music by Naveen Kumar, an Indian flutist and he will perform half Indian and half Arabic music performances along with there will be some western music performances.
The Indian Ambassador P Kumaran said that between Mid February and end of March, a series of events will be organised by The Ministry of Culture, the government of India in traditional Indian format and he also said that the Embassy of India will open separate visa and passport submission centres will be opened in AI Khor and Industrial Area in Qatar this year and apart from this the embassy had plans to open an online appointment system for professionals to save their time.
Allahrakka Rahman know professionally as A.R.Rahman, is an Indian music director, composer, singer and music producer. In 1992, A.R.Rahman was approached by director Mani Ratnam to compose the score and soundtrack for his Tamil film, Roja. His film career began in 1992.
He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2010 by the Government of India. He has also become a notable humanitarian, donating and raising money for a number of causes and charities.
Apart from successful musictracks, Rahman has also received acclaim for his background scores and is considered one of the finest background-score composers in India. Apart from getting favourable reviews, several of Rahman's background scores have earned him many prestigious awards ranging from Academy awards to Filmfare awards.He has also been involved in non-film projects like Vande Mataram.
