‘All passengers have right to transit at Kuwait airport’

All passengers have the right to transit at Kuwait International Airport and then travel to their next destination – whether they are on board Kuwait Airways flights or any other airline, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a security source.

This came after Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) Board Chairman Yousif Al-Jassim disclosed that the ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs have coordinated their efforts in requiring eight or nine nationalities to obtain transit visa if they are traveling on board Kuwait Airways flights passing through Kuwait.

The source pointed out that it seems Al-Jassim’s statement means certain nationalities must obtain security approvals and visas to visit Kuwait. Meanwhile, KAC issued a statement denying the rumor that some nationalities have been banned from boarding its flights
