The Criminal Court has sentenced an Asian expatriate to death by hanging for molesting his nine year- old daughter.
The court rejected plea of the child’s mother to withdraw the case and drop charges against the suspect, saying the court grants no mercy in cases of this nature and that punishment should be executed.
The case file indicates that detectives from the Criminal Security Department were able to get to the bottom of the incident, and the victim acknowledged during investigation that she was molested by her father, affirming she was molested twice by the father on the same day.
Forensic report confirmed that DNA of the perpetrator matched the father’s. Moreover, he admitted the offense before the case was referred to the public prosecution.
