A man accused of sexually harassing a housemaid was sentenced to three and a half years in jail by Kalba Criminal Court.
The victim filed a complaint against her sponsor, a Gulf national, accusing him of sexual harassment, Al Ittihad reported.
She allegedly tried to stop the accused more than once but he molested her against her will.
The accused denied the charges against him before the Public Prosecution and the court. However, the incident was recorded on security cameras inside the house.
