Regional Powers Plot the Post-War Middle East

Global empires step back, and regional predators immediately circle the carcass. Four major regional powers scheduled an urgent diplomatic summit in Egypt. Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt will meet Sunday. They plan to gather in Cairo to discuss regional developments and security. These specific nations acted as crucial mediators during the brutal US-Iran war. Now, they want to establish absolute dominance over the new geopolitical landscape.

Carving Up the Region

The United States effectively broke the existing balance of power. These four countries desperately want to fill the massive resulting vacuum. Turkey and Saudi Arabia constantly fight for influence across the Arab world. Pakistan wants to leverage its successful mediation role into actual economic power. Egypt desperately needs stability to protect its collapsing domestic economy. They will smile for the cameras and hold a polite joint press conference. Behind closed doors, they will ruthlessly carve up the regional influence map.

The elite constantly redraw the maps of power. Track their real motives at The WAU.
