The opening of the Qatar Visa Centers abroad is part of a project to launch 20 service centers in eight countries such as Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Tunisia. These centers will provide many advantages of speeding up the expatriates’ residence procedures and their follow-up by the concerned authorities within Qatar.

The centers provide a wide range of services such as fingerprinting, biometric data recording, medical examinations and signing of employment contract before their departure to Qatar. It will ensure protection of the rights of both expatriates and employers, and documenting the work contract before traveling to Qatar. The employer has to start the initial registration through the website of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar (www.moi.gov.qa) or app of the Interior Ministry 'Metrash2'. The recruitment procedures are the same as before, but have been transferred from Qatar to the expats’ own countries. The employer has to pay all recruitment fees in Qatar to let the worker follow up further procedures through Qatar visa centers abroad.
