Strong Dust Storm hits Doha; Affects visibility in many parts of Qatar

Numerous parts of Qatar have been influenced by strong dust winds that have additionally affected horizontal visibility. 

Qatar Meteorology Department on its social media account cautioned owarned of dust winds with visibility as low as 1km in most areas.

This condition is relied upon to continue as before for quite a while. 

 

"Widespread dust is influencing the nation with strong Northwesterly wind making visibility dip under 1 km in many zones. The Northwest wind speed now exceeds 28 knots in most areas with it rising up to 38 knots on Abu Samra road. 

The department has issued a warning for motorists to be careful while driving. And for your safety, while driving, they urged to “keep the windows closed and use air conditioning instead of outside air.”
