‘We are not participants, Qatar is our own country’

Secretary of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Ouda Al Ruwaie, has said that the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly and meetings are vital for all participating countries, and Qatar has succeeded with regards to facilitating and organising out the Assembly according to expectations. 

Addressing The Peninsula on the sideline of the 140th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and related meetings, Al Ruwaie further stated: "We are in Qatar however we are not members; we consider ourselves in our own nation."
