MME disinfects residential neighbourhoods as part of Al Furjan Campaign

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment held Al Furjan Campaign, which is organised by Ministry's Voluntary Action Initiative Support Committee, where residential neighbourhoods were disinfected and cleansed as part of the campaign for all municipalities. 

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment disinfected and cleansed residential neighbourhoods in all municipalities as part of Al Furjan Campaign. 
These campaigns, in which specialized agencies of the Ministry participated in cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent volunteers, were part of the efforts of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to maintain public cleanliness, health and safety of the public, in the framework of the preventive efforts and measures taken by the state to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The campaigns targeted many vital facilities and the internal streets of residential complexes as well as the areas of the neighbourhoods and main streets.

Director of the General Cleaning Department Muqbil Madhour Al Shammari stressed that the cleaning agents used in disinfecting are environment friendly, explaining that one of the goals of these campaigns is to train the volunteer group in spraying, disinfecting and control methods, to involve them in the state's efforts to protect the public and work to reduce the spread of this pandemic.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Cleaning Department in Umm Salal, Hamad Al Breidi called on the public to adhere to the instructions of the competent authorities and stay in homes for their own safety and the safety of everyone. 
The campaign was organised by Ministry's Voluntary Action Initiative Support Committee.

Voluntary Action Initiative Support Committee at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment was formed by a ministerial decision, and it is concerned with developing volunteer work plans from organizing campaigns to health control, food and hygiene in all municipalities.
