Instagram is rolling out the ability to upload photos without the app. Now users can upload photos from Instagram's mobile website. However, this is just limited to uploading photos, while adding filters and uploading videos are still functional on the app.
You can perform basic edits like rotate and crop images you uploaded to the mobile website. According to TechCrunch , Instagram has been testing this functionality since March this year. Previously users could only view their notifications and feed through the mobile app. Now the company has revamped the website into something as identical as the app.
The new move comes as a part of various recent initiatives to make the platform more accessible. Recently, we reported that Instagram is working on making its app work offline on smartphones, as Instagram continues to experience its biggest user growth so far.
