CICPA: Eight violating fishing boats spotted in UAE’s territorial waters carrying out prohibited fishing activities

A patrol of the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority, CICPA, reported at 12:00 pm on Monday, 17th August, eight violating fishing boats entering the territorial waters of the UAE, in northwest of Sir Bu Nair Island.

The Coast Guard boats attempted to stop the fishing boats but they did not comply with the orders.

CICPA explained that three chase boats were deployed for support as it was confirmed that eight violating fishing boats were found.
