Dubai-based Filipino-Emirati man narrates journey to accepting Islam

A Filipino-Emirati man as of late discussed his Filipino heritage and in addition how he developed to take after Islam from a young age.

Dubai resident Saeed Al Mehairi was born to an Emirati father and Filipina mother. In a video talk with, Al Mehairi reviews his youth days back in the Philippine wide open. He additionally expounds on his journey to accepting Islam, As per GMA News Online.

 

 Saeed Al Mehairi tells to GMA News that while he was born Muslim he grew up with his mom who did not change over to Islam. This made growing up difficult for the young man. It was just until the point that he was a young person that he chose to take after the way of Islam like his dad. His dad helped him get accustomed to Islamic traditions such as Salah (prayers) and fasting.

However, he hasn't forgotten his Filipino roots and is in fact proud of it, GMA News reports.

Discussing what he adores about Filipino culture, he said that he admired the Filipinos' chipper nature -  he remarked that he rarely sees this in other nationalities.

Al Mehairi works in Dubai's Emirates airline as a sales support manager. He can speak both Filipino and Arabic languages fluently.
