The Dubai Police prevented a mother from committing suicide by jumping off her apartment's balcony in Al Barsha.
The operation room received a call informing them of a married woman trying to kill herself, said Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahman Bin Shafia, Director of Al Barsha Police Station.
The police team reached the location promptly and found her standing on the edge of the balcony.
A Dubai Police officer managed to calm the European woman and convinced her to get off the balcony, according to a report in Emarat Al Youm on Tuesday.
The officer, in a few minutes, convinced her that all her problems were fixable and the police could help her move on with her life.
Bin Shafia explained that the woman was facing psychological issues due to family problems. The Dubai Health Authority and Community Development Authority will follow-up to make she gets back to her normal life, the Dubai Police noted.
