Ras Al Khaimah Launches First Electric Public Bus

Ras Al Khaimah residents can now ride an electric public bus. The local transport authority launched the revamped Purple Route today. This major upgrade expands public transport coverage across the emirate.

Enjoying Free Rides

The authority announced a massive perk for daily commuters. Passengers can ride the upgraded bus completely free for one month. The new route adds 14 kilometers of geographical coverage.

Officials modified the path and added several new bus stops.

Connecting Major Destinations

The Purple Route connects nine major stations efficiently. The bus links Al Nakheel directly to the Manar Mall. It passes key hospitals, universities, and important government centers.

This project aligns perfectly with wider sustainability goals. The transport authority plans to test more electric buses soon. Commuters can use the Sayer smart app to track their journeys.
