Three people were killed and 44 others were injured in a traffic accident in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
A collision between a bus and two other vehicles on Al Shawamekh bridge caused the accident, Abu Dhabi Police tweeted Monday.
Initial investigations have revealed sudden turning, driving without leaving a safe distance between vehicles as reasons for the accident, according to Colonel Salim Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Director of Traffic Department at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate.

The operation room was informed about the accident at 7.30 am today and police patrols, ambulances were rushed to the spot. The injured were taken to went to the location to take the help the injured and take them to Al Rahba and Mafraq hospitals.
Al Dhaheri has urged the motorists to follow the traffic laws and drive within the speed limits. He asked the motorists to leave a safe distance between the vehicles for sudden stops or turnings.
