UAE Officially Extends the Nafis Programme Until 2040

The UAE government just extended the highly successful Nafis programme until 2040. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan directed this major extension.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan officially announced the exciting news today. This vital initiative empowers national talent and strengthens the local labor market. It also drives the national economy forward continuously.

Exciting New Family Initiatives

Officials introduced several new enhancements for the Year of the Family. The government launched a brand new financial support program. This specific program helps children of Emirati mothers working in the private sector.

Another new initiative directly supports the wives of Emirati citizens. These women must also work within the private sector to qualify.

The government also significantly expanded the existing children's allowance program. Families now face absolutely no cap on the number of eligible children. This specific change strongly promotes overall family stability across the emirates.

Impressive Employment Milestones

The Nafis programme boasts some truly impressive employment statistics. The initiative has successfully employed 176,000 Emiratis so far. Exactly 152,000 of these citizens currently work in the private sector.

Women represent a massive 74 percent of these total beneficiaries. The children's allowance program has already supported 38,000 individuals.

Nafis focuses heavily on developing strong Emirati capabilities for the future. Today, exactly 32,000 private companies proudly employ local national talent.
