Low-Pressure Systems Trigger Afternoon Clouds
Residents across the United Arab Emirates can expect unsettled weather over the next five days, including chances of afternoon rain and strong dust-raising winds. In its Monday weather bulletin, the National Centre of Meteorology reported that a surface low-pressure system combined with an upper-air low-pressure trough is influencing the country. Consequently, convective clouds will build over eastern and southern areas on Monday afternoon, bringing localized showers. Daytime temperatures on Monday will reach up to 42 degrees Celsius across inland desert regions and between 34 and 39 degrees Celsius along the coast. Mountainous areas will enjoy noticeably cooler conditions ranging between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow at light to moderate speeds before strengthening to 45 km/h near mountains and 40 km/h inland during cloud activity.
Stronger Winds And Rain Chances Through Thursday
Overnight humidity will rise into Tuesday morning, creating conditions for mist or fog patches across coastal neighborhoods. According to NCM forecasters, the likelihood of afternoon rainfall will continue through Tuesday and Wednesday as convective clouds spread from eastern mountains toward inland and western areas. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, wind gusts could reach up to 50 km/h at times, kicking up blowing dust and reducing horizontal visibility on open highways. Overnight humidity will persist through mid-week, bringing further chances of early morning fog across internal and coastal roads. On Thursday, partly cloudy skies will continue with afternoon rain clouds forming over eastern and western sectors alongside 40 km/h winds.
Fairer Skies And Calm Seas By The Weekend
By Friday, meteorological models indicate the weather will turn generally fair to partly cloudy across most emirates, with occasional cloud cover lingering in the east and west. Winds will ease slightly to peak around 35 km/h, while rising Friday night humidity may bring mist to western coastal areas on Saturday morning. Despite the gusty inland winds accompanying afternoon cloud formations, marine conditions will remain calm for boaters. Forecasters expect wave heights in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman to stay slight throughout the entire five-day forecast period. Motorists driving through dusty or foggy stretches should reduce speed and check official NCM alerts daily. Stay prepared for changing weather and driving conditions across the Emirates.
