Woman fined Dh5,000 after wooing married man in UAE

A woman was fined Dh5,000 for threatening to steal a woman's husband in Ras Al Khaimah.

She was also charged with harassment and misuse of telecommunication devices, as reported by Arabic media.

The Ras Al Khaimah Court of First Instance heard the case where earlier this month, the victim complained that a woman was repeatedly harassing her on social media.

She would send her WhatsApp messages indicating that she was intimately involved with her husband and would soon marry him.

The offender confessed before the court that she had indeed been attempting to instigate marital strife.

She had been attempting to woo the husband from his current wife, have him divorce her, and marry her instead.
