Why Has Air Suvidha Returned?
Air Suvidha 2.0 was relaunched on 25 June 2026 by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The relaunch follows the World Health Organization declaring the Ebola (Bundibugyo virus) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern in May 2026.
This is not a COVID-era form — it is a new health declaration specifically focused on Ebola screening for all international arrivals into India.
Who Must Fill It?
The Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form is mandatory for ALL international passengers arriving in India and must be completed before immigration clearance. This applies regardless of your nationality or which city you are flying from. Whether you are flying from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, or Jeddah, the same form applies on arrival.
I am an OCI Cardholder — do I need to fill both Air Suvidha and the Digital Disembarkation Form (e-Arrival Card)? Yes. OCI Cardholders are required to fill out and submit both.
Official Portal
The only official portal is: airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in
The official Air Suvidha portal is a free government service. Only use airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in and avoid third-party sites that charge a fee for the form.
When to Fill It
All India-bound travellers must submit the Air Suvidha form within 24 hours of the start of their journey. It is best to fill it before checking in at your point of travel origin.
The authorities strongly recommend filling it before boarding — during web check-in is ideal — so a weak signal at the airport doesn't slow you down. It's free, and there's no app to download; you do it straight from your phone or computer.
What You Need Before Starting
Have these ready before opening the portal so you can finish in one go:
• Passport (number, nationality, validity)
• Flight details (flight number, seat number if available)
• Departure and arrival dates
• First airport of entry in India
• 21-day travel history (list of countries visited in the past 3 weeks)
• Indian address or foreign stay details
• Email address and mobile number (for OTP verification)
Step-by-Step How to Complete Air Suvidha 2.0
Step 1 — Open the Official Portal
Go to airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in on your phone or computer. Select the Self-Declaration Form (SDF) for international arrivals.
Step 2 — Enter Personal Details
Enter your personal details: full name, gender, age, passport number, nationality, and contact information.
Step 3 — Enter Flight & Travel Details
Provide your flight and itinerary details: flight number, seat number (if available), date of departure, arrival date, entry airport, and transit countries. Make sure everything matches your travel documents exactly.
Step 4 — Provide 21-Day Travel History
List all countries you have visited in the three weeks before arrival in India. The screening focuses on travellers with recent travel to or exposure in the affected regions — primarily the DRC, Uganda, or neighbouring countries.
Step 5 — Health & Exposure Declaration
Declare whether you have had contact with anyone confirmed or suspected to have Ebola, and whether you currently have fever, bleeding, or other relevant symptoms.
Air Suvidha is mandatory for all international arrivals, though the purpose is to identify and segregate travellers with recent travel history to Ebola-affected countries. Whether you have exposure to the affected region or not, you must complete the form.
Step 6 — OTP Verification
A one-time password (OTP) is sent to your email and/or mobile to verify your contact details before you continue. Enter the OTP to proceed.
Step 7 — Submit and Download
Save or screenshot the completed form before you fly. There are no paper forms to fill on the aircraft or on landing.
Step 8 — Show on Arrival
Passengers must carry and present the downloaded Self-Declaration Form at the International Travel Health Desk or Immigration Counter as required on arrival.
What Happens After Submission?
Once you submit the Air Suvidha declaration online, the information is shared with the Airport Health Officer, the Bureau of Immigration, and state surveillance authorities. This allows officials to identify travellers who may require additional screening before entering the country. Since your information is already submitted digitally, there is no need to fill out paper health declaration forms during your flight or after landing.
Most travellers will simply show their completed form and clear immigration as normal. Travellers flagged through their travel or exposure history may be referred for further health screening.
