Indonesia: Aircraft with 5 people aboard reportedly goes missing

At least 5 people onboard a small plane reportedly went missing in Indonesia's Papua on Wednesday.

As reported by the head of local search and rescue agency, the airplane went missing after it went on a short flight from Wamena to Derakma.

Reportedly, the Pilatus Porter PC-6 took off at 11am in the morning and lost contact minutes before it was scheduled to land.

 

Plane is reportedly said to have crashed

The plane aboard with five people which went missing in Indonesia's Papua is reportedly said to have crashed, as said by the spokesman Yusuf Latif for the district's search and rescue agency.

The plane which belonged to Associated Mission Aviation was carrying three passengers and two crew members.

Inclement weather has hampered the rescue teams' efforts in finding the missing aircraft.
