You Laughed On This Cashier, You Mocked Her For Being Slow, It's Time You Know Her Heartbreaking Story

Some time back, a video of a cop had gone viral in which he was seen losing his balance. Social media mocked him for being drunk and traveling in a metro. This led to his suspension. However, the reality was that he was suffering from a stroke and was feeling uncomfortable.

The Internet has the ability to make people famous overnight. This fame is welcome for most of us but not for everyone. Certainly not for an old woman who survived a paralysis stroke and 2 heart attacks.

You might have seen the image of this lady in a video titled, “Fastest cashier in the world”.

A man named Balaraju Somisetty had uploaded a video on the 24th of October which went viral with 13 million views and almost 2 lac shares so far. This video featured the same woman in the above image. She was seen doing her cashier duties at a slower pace and the Internet judged her for being the slowest cashier and mocked her immensely.

But there was someone who cared to know the truth behind this video. An activist named Kundan Srivastava shared the story of Premlata Shinde, an employee of Bank of Maharashtra who is supposed to retire in Feb 2017.

Premlata is a widow and her son lives abroad with his family. She suffered a paralysis stroke and a heart attack, twice. This affected her health severely and she was not able to do her duties efficiently.

She had enough leaves to take rest until her retirement but the relentless spirit of this woman made her work despite the challenges.

The bank made a nice gesture by setting up an additional cash counter to let her work at her own pace. Customers are clearly instructed that if they are in a hurry, they can opt the other counters.

We thank Kundan for sharing this wonderful story of an amazing lady and we urge the readers to take a moment before judging or making comments on any video/post.
