Sharing the Warmth of Kerala Hospitality
Air India Express has created a delightful culinary experience for its international passengers. The airline now offers a traditional Onasadya meal during the vibrant Onam festival season. This special menu caters to travelers flying between Kerala and various West Asian destinations. Kerala Tourism Minister P.C. The initiative brings authentic festive flavors directly to travelers across different geographies.
A Carefully Curated Authentic Menu
The airline priced the Gourmair Onasadya menu affordably at 500 rupees. Passengers can enjoy an extensive spread of traditional vegetarian dishes during their flight. The carefully curated selection features Matta Rice with Parippu, Sambar, Avial, and Koottu Curry. The meal also includes Erissery, Thoran, Mango Pickle, and sweet Palada Pradhaman. The culinary team serves the food beautifully on a traditional green banana leaf. They enclose the meal in special packaging inspired by the classic Kasavu handloom design.
Serving the Global Expatriate Community
Passengers traveling between August 15 and August 31 can pre-book this meal easily. Travelers simply use the official website or mobile app 18 hours before departure. Sunil Suresh explained that Kerala remains central to the entire airline network. The airline views occasions like Onam as opportunities to share rich regional traditions. This thoughtful touch makes flying a memorable and personal experience for the diaspora. The airline proudly embodies the warm and expressive spirit of India.
