A Late-Night Drive Turns Fatal
A birthday celebration ended in absolute tragedy in central India this week. A car carrying five friends crashed violently into a concrete culvert. The accident killed three passengers and seriously injured two others during a late-night drive. The incident occurred near Tedesara Basti in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. The group was travelling from Durg toward Rajnandgaon for a late dinner. They planned to eat at a popular dhaba, or roadside eatery. Police identified the deceased as Abhishek Singh, Toshan Tiwari, and Prashant Dase. Abhishek worked as an electrical and civil contractor for the Chhattisgarh government.
Investigating The Cause Of The Crash
He was driving the vehicle when it crashed near a highway drain. The impact was incredibly severe, leaving the vehicle completely mangled and destroyed. Abhishek and Toshan died immediately at the tragic accident scene. Emergency workers transported Prashant to a government hospital with critical injuries. He unfortunately died while receiving emergency medical treatment at the facility. The other two occupants, Suraj Pandey and Chintu, are currently undergoing treatment. Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Several initial reports cited excessive speeding as a highly probable factor.
Families Raise Highway Safety Concerns
Relatives stated Abhishek had celebrated his birthday with his family earlier that day. He headed out with his close friends for dinner later that evening. The devastated families raised serious concerns about the road at the accident site. They noted the highway narrows dangerously in that specific area. They believe this sudden narrowing made it incredibly difficult for the driver to manoeuvre. Police registered a formal case and launched an official investigation. They handed the bodies over to the grieving families after completing post-mortem examinations. Follow the latest breaking news and international investigations.
