Shiv Pratap Shukla

An MP from Uttar Pradesh, Shukla was elected 4 consecutive times in 1989, 1991, 1993 and 1996 to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He is known for his contribution to Rural Development, Education, and Prison reform during his stint as Cabinet Minister in the UP government for 8 years.

Ashwini Kumar Choubey

A Lok Sabha MP from Buxar, Bihar, he is also one of the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates and Standing Committee on Energy. He has been elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly for 5 consecutive terms. He played an active role in the JP movement during the 1970s and was he has held portfolios like Health, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering while serving as a Cabinet Minister of the Government of Bihar for 8 years.

 

Virendra Kumar

A Lok Sabha MP from Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh. Virendra Kumar has a varied career in Public Service as a 6 term Lok Sabha MP. He also serves as the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour, and also a Member of National Social Security Board.
Virendra Kumar has a degree in MA, Economics and a Ph.D. in Child Labour.

Anantkumar Hegde

One of the longest serving members of the BJP, Anantkumar Hegde is a Lok Sabha MP from Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. He also holds a post in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs and Human Resource Development. He was 28 years old when he was first elected as an MP.

Raj Kumar Singh

A Lok Sabha MP from Arrah, Bihar.Raj Kumar Singh a Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committees on Health and Family Welfare, Personnel, Pensions and Public Grievances and Law & Justice. He served as a former IAS officer from the Bihar cadre. He climbed the ladder to serve as the Home Secretary of India. He has held important roles such as Defence Production Secretary and Joint Secretary Home; while also heading other important departments in the Bihar Government.

He has been greatly appreciated for his work towards Police Modernization and Prison Modernization as well as laying the groundwork for Disaster Management. He studied English Literature at St Stephens College, New Delhi and also has a Bachelors Degree in Law. He continued his studies at the RVB Delft University in Netherlands.
 
Hardeep Singh Puri

He is an esteemed former IFS officer serving in the 1974 batch and is respected for his experience in foreign policy and national security. Puri served as the Vice President of International Peace Institute, New York.

He has carried important roles such as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations as well as Ambassador to Brazil and United Kingdom.

He studied at The Hindu College, Delhi University and played an active role during the JP movement.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

He is a Lok Sabha MP from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He is a role model for the rural community as he is a tech-savvy, progressive farmer. He is very active on social media and has struck a connection with the youngsters. He has played Basketball at the university level and is an avid sports enthusiast.

He serves as a Member of the All India Council of Sports and the President of Basketball India Players Association. He studied at the Jai Narain Vyas University in Jodhpur and has an MPhil and MA in Philosophy.

Satya Pal Singh

Satya Pal Singh, a former IPS officer, awarded with medals like the Antrik Suraksha Sewa Padak in 2008, and a Lok Sabha M- a Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs and is also the Chairperson of the Joint Committee on Offices of Profit. He was awarded a Special Service Medal for serving in the Naxalite affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

He has also been Commissioner of Police of Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur and has been recognized for exposing the organized crime syndicated in Mumbai.

Alphons Kannanthanam

A reputed IAS officer of the 1979 batch, Kerala cadre, Alphons Kannanthanam is also a practicing advocate. He came into the public eye while serving as the Commissioner of the Delhi Development Authority and went on to be known as Delhi’s Demolition Man when he brought down 15,000 illegal constructions. This particular episode put him on the Time Magazine’s list of 100 Young Global Leaders in 1994.

One of his most important contributions has to be as the District Collector of Kottayam when he made it India’s first 100% literate town in 1989.

He was elected as an Independent Member of Legislative Assembly for Kanjirappally from 2006 to 2011 after retiring from the IAS.
