Cochin airport to resume operations tomorrow

Following checks by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Monday(CIAL), Cochin International Airport is all set to resume all operations on August 29.

Last week, CIAL officials informed that they will be extending their date for resuming operations from August 26 to August 29, as several of their staff and also employees of other associated agencies had suffered losses in the floods. Furthermore, the airport alone had suffered of loss of nearly Rs 230 crore following the floods.

CIAL officials informed on Monday that they are ready to resume their international and domestic operations and that all flights will follow the existing schedule.

Meanwhile, commercial flight operations from the Naval Air Station, INS Garuda, which is instated to keep connectivity with the city, will be suspended on August 29, in accordance with CIAL resuming operations.
