Fighter jet crashes in India

A Sukhoi SU-31 fighter jet crashed near Nashik while on a sortie but both pilots on board ejected safely, official sources said.

 

The crash may have occurred due to a technical glitch, the sources said. 

Emergency services have been pressed into action.

Top military and air force officials and police have rushed to the crash site in Maharashtra. 

Zee News reported there are no reports of any on-ground injuries.

While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, there have been no reports of any on-ground injuries while the two pilots inside also managed to eject using parachutes before the plane crashed.
