According to The Times of India, Vasanth Kumar, a M. Tech graduate, suffered from a heart attack in the marriage hall. The groom suddenly collapsed on the stage when he was getting ready for the wedding rituals.

Kumar was to marry a girl from Madhugiri at the Gaviranga hall.

"He had no known health problems. We are all shocked,"Raveesh, a relative of Kumar was quoted saying.
