Indian Prime Minister Modi receives UAE’s highest civilian award

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honoured with the Zayed Medal by the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

The award conferred upon the Indian Prime Minister is the highest civilian honour awarded to Kings, Presidents and heads of state.

According to a tweet from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Modi has played a pivotal role in boosting relations between the Emirates and India.

“We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE President grants him the Zayed Medal,” Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed wrote on his official twitter account.

 

“We have gathered in India historic ties and comprehensive strategic relations, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave her a big boost. In recognition of his efforts, the head of State is awarded the Order of Zayed. We trust a promising future that brings together the two countries, enhanced by mutual understanding and cooperation.”
