Qatar Amir directs to support Pakistani economy with $3 billion

On the directives of the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani announced new investments worth a total of $3 billion in the form of deposits and direct investments in Pakistan.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Deputy Prime Minister said that the Qatari support comes after Amir's visit to Pakistan to underscore the deep relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

 

It also expresses the confidence of Qatar in the strength of Pakistan's economy and the vision and good management of the current government headed by Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan, he noted.

The Deputy PM added that by announcing this new investment package on Monday, the size of the Qatari-Pakistani economic partnership will amount to $9 billion, and on this occasion, Qatar affirms its aspiration for further developing the relations between the two countries and people at political, economic, sports, cultural and all other levels.
