Robbers Flash Machete Rob 7 Lakh Rupees From Biker

Vaseem, a 31-year-old businessman was intercepted and mugged by two bikers near Ashoka Pillar. In the wee hours of Sunday, the businessman was returning home on his bike and slowed down for a speed breaker where two bike-borne criminals were waiting with a machete. As the bike slowed down, the two miscreants attacked and threatened the man with a machete. The businessman gave away 7 Lakhs to the criminals or they would have probably killed him.

Vaseem lives in Shivajinagar and has a wholesale chicken shop business in Banashankari. He carries large amounts of money with him every day collecting the earnings of the shop. Given that the shops were closed for Ganesha festival from August 23rd he didn’t go for collection until Sunday.

On Sunday night at 11:45, Vaseem was returning home with his brother riding pillion with him, when these two miscreants approached them on a scooter near a speed bump and snatched the bag of money from Vaseem. He almost got hit by the machete while the miscreants tried to snatch the bag.

After they took the bag they quickly sped and disappeared into the by-lanes. Vaseem and his brother tried to search for them and found a Hoysala police vehicle and informed them of the crime. The Siddapura police started investigating after the FIR was launched.

Suresh who is also a businessman said that this type of robbery used to be quite common in the past where the criminals would hide behind bushes near speed breakers and would attempt to rob vehicles who were driving slowly.
