Bahrain Summons Iraqi Envoy Over Ongoing Drone Attacks

Bahrain officially summoned an Iraqi envoy on Monday. Authorities want to discuss recent dangerous drone attacks. These hostile strikes target Bahrain and other Gulf nations.

Saudi Arabia took a similar diplomatic step just yesterday. Leaders deeply worry about pro-Iranian groups operating inside Iraq. These militant actions severely complicate regional diplomatic relations.

Delivering the Official Protest

The Bahrain Foreign Ministry strongly condemned these ongoing malicious attacks. Director General Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa led the diplomatic meeting. He handed an official protest note to Ahmed Ismail al-Karawi.

Al-Karawi currently serves as the Iraqi charge d'affaires. The diplomatic note demands immediate action from Baghdad. Iraqi leaders must address these dangerous threats urgently and responsibly.

A Staging Ground for Conflict

Iraq now acts as a primary staging ground for regional violence. Iran-aligned groups regularly launch missiles from Iraqi territory. They repeatedly target neighboring Gulf states and Jordan.

These militants also attack American diplomatic interests in Baghdad. Several Gulf countries recently signed a joint statement regarding this issue. They firmly demanded an immediate end to these cross-border attacks.

Iraq Responds to Gulf Demands

Baghdad categorically rejects these serious regional accusations. Iraqi officials promise to take necessary legal and constitutional measures. The government requested solid evidence regarding the recent drone strikes.

Leaders promise to handle any provided information responsibly and swiftly. Iran-aligned groups previously promised to honor the new two-week ceasefire. However, several Gulf nations reported new attacks just hours later.
