10. Pineapple against cancer
A 2013 study published in the National Library of Medicine found that bromelain extracted from the stem of a pineapple was effective in killing human gastric and colon carcinoma cells.
Pineapple juice — how it is made:
Cut up a fresh pineapple into chunks, discarding the outer skin. Place the chunks in a large carafe and fill it with water, still or sparkling according to your preference. Or if you have a juicer or blender, you can also go the undiluted route. You'll be surprised how tasty such a healthy drink can be!
