The Philippines is a South Asian country with more than 7,000 islands spread in the western Pacific Ocean. Its natives are known as Filipinos. There are almost 11 million Filipinos that are working overseas.

1-Filipinos hold the record of the second largest Asian American group in the US next only to Chinese.

8-As many as 22 percents of workers in shipping and maritime activities all over the World are Filipinos.

9-According to a survey in 2016, it was said that the total remittance made by them between April to September 2016 was estimated at around $4 billion.

10-According to some unconfirmed sources, it is also said that the 11 million Filipinos workers that are working around the globe in hundreds of countries makes almost 11 percent of the total population of the Philippines and also contribute around 10 billion dollars to Philippines economy every year, and this makes 15% of total GDP.

11-An amazing fact was also revealed about Filipinos that almost 35 million Filipinos send about 450 million SMS messages every day which is more than total text messages sent by the people of US and Europe combined in one day.
