How Liza Soberano Became the Inspiration Behind Ginebra's Thompson in Game 5.

"It's not that Meralco is playing bad. It's just that Ginebra is playing spectacular." This is what the commentators had to say about the recent Game 5 in the finals of PBA. With the final score of 92-81, Ginebra's game was on point from the first quarter up to the last. Although, Japeth Aguilar was declared to be the best player of the game, many would agree that their win was because of everyone's teamwork, dedication and surprising aggressiveness throughout Game 5.

Jayjay Helterbrand, and Mark Caguioa, despite being veterans, were also able to contribute significantly. Justin Brownlee was also on fire! But a rookie proved that he was inspired above everyone. Scottie Thompson was beyond amazing in the last game! Although he only scored 5 points, his assists and rebounds made the game consistently in Ginebra's favor. The real reason behind his amazing play?

Liza Soberano wished him luck before the game! The rookie player posted the video in his Twitter account with the caption: "Mamamiya! haha beast mode on na to mamaya . Haha"

Well, he was evidently inspired. He was able to fire a 3-point basket during one of the crucial part of the game which helped them maintain the lead.'

He then thanked the actress on his Twitter account saying: "Thank you TERENA!" referring to the actress' character on the recently concluded "Dolce Amore."
