Camels have played an important role in Arabian desert life for centuries. A camel ride gives visitors a slower and more traditional way to experience the desert while learning about an important part of Saudi heritage.
Unlike the speed of dune bashing, camel riding provides a relaxed opportunity to appreciate the surrounding scenery. Some organised experiences may also include traditional food, Arabic coffee and other elements of Arabian hospitality.
