TCL, top three global television brand and leading consumer electronics company, has been honored by International Data Group (IDG) and German Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd (GIC/AHK) with the “Display Technology Gold Award” for its flagship QLED TV X8 at IFA 2018.

“We are thrilled to receive this award in recognition of our commitment to technological innovation in the TV industry and our expanding QLED TV product portfolio,” said Shaoyong Zhang, General Manager of Product Center, Emerging Business Center and Smart Home Business Center, TCL Electronics.

The QLED TV X8 is TCL’s latest 4K QLED TV, featuring Quantum Dot display technology with a wide color gamut of 157% BT.709. The X8 comes in a minimalist design, with its thinnest part measuring just 7.9mm. The adoption of full-screen design offers a wider viewing angle and the soundbar embedded in the base also provides a better sound experience for users.

In addition, the TCL UHD Smart TV Cityline Series C76 (55DC760 Model), the European version of the C6, recently won the “Best Buy LCD TV 2018-2019” award from EISA and was launched in Europe in August.
