This Tiny African Island Is Half The Size Of A Football Field & Home To Only 500 People

If you travel by bus or metro or sharing autos, you know what it's like to ride with way too many people. The only relief is, it's just till you reach your destination. But what if your house was crammed with people all day every day and you had to make do with it? Sounds uncomfortable right?

People of this island are living in a place which is less than half of the size of a standard football field, for real.

This tiny island, named Migingo, is surrounded by Lake Victoria and is packed with four bars, huts, a hair salon, and several brothels. The fishing community resides here in homes which are so packed that they overlap each other.

The island is so small that only 500 people fit there. Despite its size and relatively handful of people living here, the East-Africans are always in conflict over who owns the land - this is called ‘Africa’s smallest war’.

Fishermen spend their days catching fish for their livelihood and nights are spent in bars with prostitutes. The fishermen from different nations refuse to mingle together and won’t let their ladies mix with the others as well.

Seems like a lot for such a tiny place.
