Shattering Previous Franchise Records
Vijay Salgaonkar has always been exceptionally good at making things disappear effortlessly. With Drishyam: The Conclusion, actor Ajay Devgn is making previous box-office records vanish too. The suspense thriller crossed Rs 200 crore in India in just five days. It also soared past the massive Rs 300 crore milestone globally in record time. That represents a blistering pace that even IG Meera Deshmukh would struggle to follow. Trade tracker Sacnilk reported the film earned Rs 19 crore net on Tuesday alone. That takes its total India net collections to an incredibly impressive Rs 216.50 crore. Overseas audiences added another Rs 9.50 crore to the massive total on Day 5.
Approaching The Lifetime Total
The worldwide gross now stands at a staggering Rs 341.30 crore currently. That puts the film within touching distance of Drishyam 2's entire lifetime worldwide run. It will surpass that Rs 342 crore total easily during Wednesday's early matinee screenings. Tuesday did bring a small, completely expected dip in overall daily ticket sales. Collections fell roughly 9.5 percent from the massive Rs 21 crore earned on Monday. For a weekday, analysts view this as a pause for breath rather than a stumble. Devgn's return as Vijay Salgaonkar for the third installment is paying off massively. Drishyam 3 is now his absolute fastest film to cross Rs 200 crore domestically.
Holding Firm Against Competition
