Producers Deny Ticket Price Hike For Upcoming Action Drama Ranabaali

Setting The Record Straight

Fans worried about paying more to watch Ranabaali can finally relax. Mythri Movie Makers officially denied reports regarding a massive ticket price hike. Rumors suggested the studio sought a Rs 50 increase in Andhra Pradesh. The studio confirmed the period action drama will reach theaters at regular rates.  The film officially opens in cinemas globally on October 16. The rumors circulated for several days before the production house finally responded. They issued a formal statement on the X platform this Monday. "We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false," the statement read.

A Touchy Subject For Filmgoers

The banner promised moviegoers standard pricing during the busy festive season. They expressed complete confidence that audiences will enjoy a great cinematic experience. The denial lands amid an ongoing, intense debate across Telugu cinema. The Andhra Pradesh government tightly controls all theatrical ticket pricing.  Producers must secure official government approval before implementing any price increase. Filmmakers and local exhibitors have long pushed back against these strict financial caps. They argue the caps make recouping massive production and distribution costs incredibly difficult. Director Rahul Sankrityan helms the highly anticipated historical action saga.

A Story Of Resistance

Ranabaali takes place between 1854 and 1878, telling a story of fierce resistance. Vijay Deverakonda stated the film draws heavy inspiration from regional history and folklore. He mentioned figures linked to Kadakal Bobbili who opposed colonial austerity measures. The role demanded a punishing 20-day shooting schedule for the lead actor.  He shot scenes in surroundings thick with turmeric and sacred ash. He later admitted the harsh environment affected his lungs and breathing temporarily. The film reunites Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna for the third time onscreen.  Explore the fascinating business behind the global entertainment industry.
