Sagarika Ghatge has finally revealed her wedding plans with Zaheer Khan! The cricketer popped the question right during the IPL season. Who would’ve expected that? Definitely not his girlfriend Sagarika. Well, we’re super happy for the couple and we’re dying to know more about their wedding plans. Luckily the Chak De! India actress has spilled the beans regarding the same. In an interview with Bombay Times, the diva revealed, “We will throw an engagement party after the (IPL) tournament ends. As far as the wedding is concerned, I’ll sit with my parents and figure out a date. These days, all the good venues get booked in advance. So, once we get the venue, we’ll decide on the date. There’s no special date in our minds as such.” Well, it is a crucial time right now and we doubt Zaheer will have time to discuss wedding plans in detail with his bae.
Ask about apartment hunting and Sagarika states that they won’t be looking for one because the cricketer already has a plush house in Mumbai. She said, “Zak already has a pretty house in Mumbai, and I don’t think we need another one right now. But if the need arises later, we will go ahead.” So far so good, don’t you think? Well, this new development in their relationship was quite a surprise, not just for us but even Ghatge. She was pleasantly taken aback by the gesture. Little did we know that Zaheer was such a romantic at heart!
However, while it was a big surprise, Sagarika claims she always knew he would pop the question. In her interview she added, “I always knew that he was going to propose, but didn’t expect it in the middle of the cricket tournament. My mom and dad are very happy. Zaheer has interacted with them a lot and even they knew it would happen, just that no one knew when. For any good occasion, the right time is when you feel it. I am sure Zak found this time right enough to pop the question.”
