It was a match made in punk rock paradise. Paramore singer Hayley Williams and New Found Glory member Chad Gilbert were practically punk rock royalty, and were together eight years before getting engaged. Once you’ve been together for that long, you assume you know the person and marriage is just a bit of a formality, right? Well, not exactly. They announced their split last year and stated that “marriage is not for the faint of heart. Love is an absolute risk. And it’s up to each of us to stay hopefully even when the outcome isn’t what we’d originally hoped for.” Well, at the very least, these two musicians will probably get some fantastic broken-hearted music out of the situation, but still — it’s a major bummer for things to go south after so many years.

1. Chris Pratt And Anna Faris Are Done, So We Basically Can’t Believe In Love Again

There are a lot of celebrity couples who seem cute and like they’re well suited for one another, but Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were on an entirely different level. They just seemed to be total soul mates — they were both goofy, they both had dead bug collections, and they just seemed to be so genuinely in love with one another on the red carpet. Sure, their career trajectories changed a bit — Anna was the more famous of the two when they first tied the knot, and now Chris definitely is — but we thought they would last forever. That’s why we’re still devastated about the fact that they decided to divorce after 8 years of marriage, saying that “We tried hard for a long time and we’re really disappointed.” I mean, can we even believe in love again?
