Everybody dreads the warm summer nights. The humidity and the heat combine to make a horrifying, sweaty bed we’re forced to sleep upon. The warm nights are one universal reason for the hate we share for summers. Well, not really hate, the visits to the beach are still worth it. However, the hot summer nights often make us wish they were just a wee bit cooler. Since, the nights don’t bother about our preferences, we need to find ways ourselves to make them a bit more bearable.
Here are 16 tried and tested ways, to beat the heat in those hot as hell summer nights.

1. KEEP AIR FLOWING

 

Make sure your room has proper ventilation. Keep the fan facing an open window and place your bed between the two. It is a guaranteed way to keep the breeze flowing.


2. UPGRADE YOUR SHEETS

Get some light colored, lightweight bed sheets. They keep your beds ventilated.


3. KEEP A COOL HEAD

Don’t opt for fluffy pillows. They trap heat. Our head is the hottest part of the body, the heat stored in the fluff is enough to keep you heated up. Instead, swap your pillow for a smaller, firmer cushion.


4. KEEP COMFY

Make sure you wear loose, cotton nightdresses in bed. Some people even prefer going naked, but that’s just your call. All we can do is hint.

Try damping your hair when you go to bed. It will be heaven if you can bear the extra moisture.
